Where to stay in Seville?
If you missed it, I wrote a few words about a trip overland from Barcelona to Seville the other day, you can read about it here.
Seville is a great destination for a solo adventure, as it’s manageable on foot, not too big and close to airports and train links and there are lots of accomodation options.
Solo adventures can be made in a number of ways, on many different budgets.
As someone who has taken many solo adventures, I’m a huge fan of staying in hostels, I mean, I am not the average age of the someone who stays in a hostel but as the travel market changes and life is to be lived, so who cares.
Hostels are cheaper and often more connected than staying in a hotel, you often have more of a chance of making some friends or acquaintances in a hostel than a hotel.
The great thing about hostels is dependent on the style and layout, they can be rather plush and luxurious whilst offering dorm rooms and double rooms.
Hello TOC Hostel and Suites, the delightful accomodation I stayed in whilst in Seville, offering private and dorm rooms at a great price.
Whilst there I opted for a six bed female dorm, which was a bargain price of approximately £20/5 a night, in August and September time.
My room came with what I can only describe as a £200 view with a £20/5 price tag.

A few reasons why I loved staying at TOC Hostel and Suites
The price tag was incredibly reasonable, at approximately £20-£25 a night
It was clean, cosy, quirky and comfortable
There was a cafe attached where you could start the day with a coffee
The garden/patio outside with seats, perfect for relaxing and making friends
It was within walking distance of everything including the cathedral and palace
It felt safe and the area was very central
I met some great people in this hostel of all age ranges
