London, a City full to the brim with brilliant things to see, do and explore.

If you are a tourist, local or taking a daytrip, there are so many ways to see London from a different perspective and on a budget. I've been lucky enough to see the City from some great view points and thought I would share them.

Sky Garden

Take a trip to visit Londons highest Garden for free, as long as you book a slot in advance. It is a beautiful space with greenery and open windows to see out over London and the river Thames. On a clear day the views are tip top and time slot dependent, you can potentially watch the sunset too.

There is a bar and restaurant so you can treat yourself to a presecco if so inclined. Its a great way to spend a few hours.

ArcelorMittal orbit

Another place is the ArcerlorMittal Orbit, Queen Elizabeth Park, Stratford. It is the Helter Skelter sculpture created by Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond. Its the UK's tallest sculpture with the longest and tallest slide. There is an option to book the slide or viewing platform or both.
I did both as at the time of booking it was on a 50% discount. The slide is a total adrenalin rush, very thrilling and worth doing, at least once. Once you've had the thrill of the slide, there is a viewing platform which comes with fun house style mirrors which distort your size and add to the fun, the views aren't bad either!

Franks Cafe, Peckham
This one is set to re open for summer, its a spacious roof top bar called Franks Cafe brought to you by Bold Tendencies, located in Peckham. Its located on the roof top of a car park, doesn't sound very glamorous does it? I usually find the best things in life aren't, just me? Unglamorous sounding equals the best thing. Spend a summer night taking in the views from up high, drinking cocktails, beer or whatever your tipple, wrapped under a blanket or sunning yourself. I definitely would prefer the latter.
